Dear,
Is it possible to set the values of addr_ton and addr_npi in the bind PDU. I tried setting the BindTON=1 and BindNPI=1 but with no luck. I always see that the value of addr_npi and addr_ton are 00 00 in the SMPPDebug.log file.

Best Regards,

Hi Ahmed,

I'm not aware of any bugs with these settings. In fact, I just tried them and they worked properly.

But I do recall some versions of NowSMS where some SMPP "Advanced Settings" were not being saved properly. (And there is also some confusion that if you edit an SMPP connection, and go into "Advanced Settings", these settings are not saved unless you press "Ok" twice ... once on the "Advanced Settings" page itself, then again on the "SMPP Connection" page.)

If you're running a version prior to v5.51, I'd suggest updating to v5.51. You can apply this update by downloading the latest evaluation version from this web site. The evaluation version will recognise existing serial numbers, and v5.51 is a free update.

There is also a patch for v5.51 that updates it to v5.51k, which can be downloaded from http://www.nowsms.com/download/latestpatch.zip.

I'd suggest trying these updates. And verify that "Bind TON" and "Bind NPI" settings appear in the SMPP "Advanced Settings" dialog as you expect. (These BindTON= and BindNPI= settings will also be stored in the SMSGW.INI file under the [SMPP - hostname:port] section header. So make sure that they also appear in that file.)
