Hi,

I am in Saudi Arabia, i downloaded the trial of 60 days. And i realy need a MMS System, to connect to my VB.Net Application. So I am trying NowSMS, but the problem is it says

Message Submitted
Continue
MessageID=44325855.req, Recipient=+966501111111

But i havent received any messages. Its says the above thing even if my GPRS modem is not connected to the system. i started the NowSMS/MMS gateway, and then unpluged my GPRS modem, even then it saying message submitted. Where is the message submitted and how will i get it.

and this is happening in the req file

[SMS]
SubmittedBy=127.0.0.1
PhoneNumber=+966501111111
Data=test message
pid=00
dcs=00
Binary=0
[ErrorDetail]
RetryCount=6
LastRetryTime=20060404143731

and the retrycount is incrementing.

Please help, its urgent

"Message Submitted" simply means that it has been submitted to the queue of NowSMS. It does not mean that it has been routed upstream for delivery.

The real question is ... how have you configured your GPRS modem? What type of device is it?

It's good to start with SMS before MMS (because with MMS you will most likely have to create a GPRS connection to your mobile operator which is more complicated than configuring NowSMS for SMS only ... see http://www.nowsms.com/howmmsworks.htm for background information).

In order to troubleshoot your problem, we need more information.

For a start, it would be useful to know what the SMSOUT-yyyymmdd.LOG file says. The retry count is incrementing, so it sounds like errors are occurring when trying to send your message.

One general tip ... under "Properties" for the GSM modem in the "SMSC" list of NowSMS ... try changing the "SMS Access" setting to "GSM" and see if this makes any difference (some modems default to using GPRS, and not all mobile operators support GPRS for sending SMS).
