SMSOUT log is not capturing messages that go thru SMS Users.

I have selected "Route received messages to user via SMPP". Messages that are been delivered by this option are not been captured in SMSOUT Log.

Messages are been generated via HTTP "http://XXX.XX.XX.XX:XXXX/?PhoneNumber=@@RECIP@@&Sender=@@SENDER@@&Text=@@FULLSMS@@"

Is there a way to fix this?

What version?

You should see "OK -- LocalUser:xxxxxxx" in the place where you would normally see which SMSC the message was routed via.

I know that this is present in the SMSOUT log for NowSMS 2006.

And it is probably present in v5.51k (although I cannot verify this at present).

I’m using NOWSMS Ver2006.
The problem is that the message is been routed to a SMS User.

The ones that are routed to SMSC Connections are logged ok.

Hmm ... I must be missing something, because I see entries like I mentioned above in my log ...

Unless ... hmm ...

I'm looking at outbound messages. So, for example, I go to the web interface and send a message to a phone number that gets routed to an "SMS Users" account.

But you're probably looking at inbound messages.

If an inbound message gets routed to an "SMS Users" account, then it does not get logged into "SMSOUT". It does, however, get logged in the USERS\accountname\SMS-yyyymmdd.LOG file.

That's correct, the problem is that my billing platform only looks at SMSOUT log. It is only one cliente that I have that I'm not able to get the registers from SMSOUT Log.

Could there be a solution for this?

We could start logging those messages into the SMSOUT. However, my concern is that because the message was received inbound, there is not a sending user account to log as the sender in the SMSOUT record.

I suppose we would put the SMSC there in place of the user account? Would that work for you?

Ok. I don't think we can do this until next week, but it's in the development queue.

Hi Walter,

I think we've got something, but it's not ready for general release yet.

Send a message to nowsms@now.co.uk with "Attention: Bryce" in the subject line, and I'll send you an interim update that includes this logging.
