Hi my problem: i have to receive mms through an Ericsson mms mm7 vasp interface but i have no clue how to configure nowsms - please help, it's very urgent with nice greets and thanks for support the grosser | |||

Hi Josef, You are receiving MMS messages from an MMSC that uses Ericsson MM7, correct? Define an "MMSC VASP" in NowSMS. At a minimum, define an "Account Name" and "Password". The MMSC will include this information in their URL that they use to connect to you to deliver messages ... http://yourip:mmscHttpPort/mm7/accountname=password "Accept Connections via" should have "MM7" checked. "Allow Sender Address Override" should be checked. (It is used primarily when you have a VASP submitting to you for outbound delivery.) All the default settings are good, but you should change "MMSC Routing for Received Messages" to ANY value other than "Standard MMS Delivery" (if it is set to "Standard MMS Delivery", NowSMS will try to route the message for outbound delivery). NowSMS will automatically recognise that the received message is in the Ericsson format, and generate the type of reply expected by Ericsson MM7. -bn | |||

Hi i have the same configuration i set at MMSC Routing for Recieved Messages the option "Forward to E-Mail Address" it works good but i have one problem: the incoming email contains the text of the mms in the emailbody with the wrong encoding: i don't get letters like ä, ü, ö thanks for help klaus | |||

Hi Klaus, You have the same configuration, receiving MMS from an Ericsson MM7 connection? I need more details to troubleshoot your character set issues. Can you please enable the MMSCDEBUG.LOG? (This is easiest to do on the "Serial #" page of the configuration dialog.) Then send another message for your NowSMS to receive and route via e-mail. I would like to see the MMSCDEBUG.LOG for the transaction. -bn | |||
