I can send and download MMS from a Siemens S55 , but in the download it says "Transmision Error" but the MMS is donwloaded and displayed. I'm testing the NowSMS/MMS Gw v5.0 Any ideas for this error? Thanks. | |||

Juan, The message is still downloaded and displayed ok despite the error? I haven't seen this type of error in quite some time. Earlier this year, we experienced a problem like this on the Panasonic GD87 when it was used with earlier versions of NowSMS and some WAP gateways. But I know of customers who have used the S55 with NowSMS both before and after that particular problem was addressed. Since you say that you are both sending and receiving MMS from the S55, is the phone configured with NowSMS as its MMSC? The reason that I ask is that after the phone downloads an MMS message, it then performs a quick HTTP POST confirmation to the URL that is configured as the MMSC in the phone. In the case of the GD87, I recall that the GD87 did not like the way some WAP gateways formatted our response to that POST confirmation. I'd be curious to see an MMSCDEBUG.LOG from the MMSC to see if we can notice anything unusual in the transactions. To enable the debug log, manually edit MMSC.INI, and add Debug=Yes under the [MMSC] section header. The problem could also be related to something going on with the WAP gateway, but let's look at the MMSCDEBUG.LOG first. | |||
