Under the SMPP Connection menu I was introducing some NXX prefix to Preferred SMSC Connection, but it gave me and error that I had reach a limit. It was less than 200 prefix. I need to specify almost 300 prefix. What can I do?

Hi Walter,

Hmm. There is no good reason for the configuration program to apply such a low limit. But I can confirm that it will not let you add more than 100.

However, this is just a limit of the configuration program. The actual software will support up to 5000 entries.

For a quick fix, you can manually edit SMSGW.INI. You will notice that under the [SMPP - server:port] section header for the SMSC, there is a Route###=prefix setting that is repeated for each entry.

You can manually add additional entries here. The only caveat is that you must keep the ### sequential. The service reads in this table when it starts up, and it keeps reading in the entries, and counting up until it finds a missing sequence number.

I'm going to check into what is involved with removing this limitation from the configuration program. But this may provide you with a quick fix.
