I encountered problem with JPEG images in wap multimedia messages on some mobile phones. Small image (preview) is displayed correctly but big image is B&W. When I send this image as MMS, image is O.K. This problem I have with some Siemens phones or on Alcatel OT535. I attach two files with sessions in wap and mms mode for Alcatel OT535. But one notice - OT535 sends in header path to UAprof file, but NowSMS doesn't detect and use this file. I must retrieve this file from Alcatel site and attach this href to UAPROF.INI file manualy. After this NowSMS use UAprof file correctly. But I have no log file for this, sorry.

Petr, There is a problem that we cannot parse "Profile:" headers where the URL for the UAProf file includes quotes around it. There will be a fix in the next update patch (was planned for today, looks like it will now be late Monday). I'm at a loss to explain why the image would be converted to black & white, however. Without a UAProf, NowSMS does look at the "Accept:" header to determine what types are supported. I could see it converting to WBMP format if the "Accept:" header indicated no support for image/gif or image/jpeg, but supported image/vnd.wap.wbmp. We'll fix the quotes around the "Profile:" header value problem. We'd probably need to see a log to understand why the B&W conversion. -bn | |||||
