Help! I connected my LG U8550 and installed modem, founded in SMSC, tested and test was OK. In MMSC I only changed "Local Host Name Or Ip Address" put it 127.0.0.1. I opened the web interface and tried to send sms - everything was OK. But when I tried to send MMS message I received it on the phone where I was send this message, but I received only Notification MMS and no my picture witch I put with browse button. Any Help. Thank You! | |||

Hi, The quick answer ... what you have done will NOT work. The phone will receive an MMS notification that tells it to try to fetch an MMS message file from "127.0.0.1". Please see http://www.nowsms.com/howmmsworks.htm for an explanation of how MMS works. Basically, this "Local Host Name or IP Address" setting must be configured to a host name or IP address that the receiving phone can use to connect to the MMSC. If that is not possible (no direct connection to the internet, or the mobile operator blocks these connections on the MMS APN), then the other alternative is to configure NowSMS to send MMS messages via the operator MMSC over a GSM/GPRS modem. More information can be found at the link that I referenced above. -bn |
