The GPRS APN and WAP IP addresses are mobile operator specific.

Normally you would use the same GPRS APN and WAP gateway IP address as your mobile operator tells you to use for your WAP browser.

oh then what about this page http://www.nowsms.com/documentation/quickstartguide/Configure_the_MMSC.htm where it says at

Step 4b - Define an MMSC User

The “MMSC Users” tab defines users that are allowed to utilize the MMSC to send MMS messages from their mobile phone.

what settings do we set on the phone then?

It explains in that section:

quote:

Note that for a mobile phone user to use the MMSC integrated with this gateway, the mobile phone user must configure their MMSC (MMS Messaging Server) to point to the address of the MMSC, and include their user name and password in the MMSC URL. Example:

http://x.x.x.x/username=password or http://host.domain:81/username=password

That is the MMS Message Server URL (referred to by different names on different phones, sometimes just "Server URL", sometimes "MMSC Address", or on Nokia phones, it is the "Homepage" of the connection profile that is used for MMS).

The GPRS APN and WAP Gateway IP address are still operator specific. They relate to how you make a connection over the operator's GPRS network that would allow you to connect to this URL.

Based upon your terminology, I would guess that you are using a Nokia phone.

In a Nokia phone, the "home page" of the MMS Settings is the URL for the MMSC.
