Hi Bryce,

I want to send a syncml sync alert to mobile.
What is that all to be done to send this as a wap push to mobile using now sms?
Do i need to know the wap push proxy gateway address of the operator?
i am using nokia 6270 as modem to send messages using now sms?

Following is the link i have reffered:

http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/485/9072. html

Is it enough if i have now sms or i should use the operator wap proxy gateway to send the wap push message?

Please give me all the details of setting up the environment for sending the syncml sync alert as wap push message.

Please its very urgent.

Thanks and regards,

Anupama

Hi Anupama,

I can't help you much with the specifics of sending a SyncML alert because I am not 100% sure that I understand the content that is sent via a SyncML alert.

See the following link for an update to the thread that you referenced:

http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/1/16737.html

We produced an update to NowSMS that will accept SyncML XML and perform WBXML conversion (so that you do not have to do it yourself, like was described in that other thread).

However, we don't have the necessary knowledge of the SyncML protocol in order to actually test this capability of the output. So please see the other thread for discussion of some of the concerns.

You do NOT need to have access to an operator WAP push proxy gateway. These push messages can be sent with NowSMS, but I would suggest starting with some other types of WAP push first, just to make sure that your NowSMS configuration is correct, before jumping straight to SyncML alerts.

Take a look at the other thread, and I'd suggest posting any follow-up there.
