Hi All, on MM4 traces, I do not see the "X-MMS-Ack-Request". Can the MMSC be configured to send it? Since it is not sent, what does the NowSMS MMSC assume, yes or no? Is there a default for it in the specifications? Thanks, Ivan | |||

Hi Ivan, We will respond with Ack messages to MM4 messages with the "X-MMS-Ack-Request" header set. However, we do not send out any of our own MM4 messages that have this header set. (And the default if this header is not present is "No".) There are some interoperability problems with other systems in how NowSMS generates acks back over MM4. So far, I've only sent out the patch to people who e-mailed about MM4 problems. As I recall, the problems have had to do with interpretation of the "X-Mms-Originating-System" header. And there is now a configuration setting related to routing the Acks back to the appropriate system. I had meant to post this patch here last week, but I still haven't had time to upload it yet.
