I am trying to send an MMS from a mobile, but the MMSC-[date].LOG file prints the following:

"MMSIN,192,168,1,66,/192.168.1.2:7082/user1,,User Not Defined,FAILED"

Also the MMSCDEBUG.LOG file reads:
"no find alias for /192.168.1.2:7082/user1"

I see mention of some problem associated with having one user account, but I've created another one and the problem persists.

Am I missing something obvious?

Hi Aaron,

What is the URL that you have configured on the phone?

My guess is that there is an extra "/" character after "http://" ... or something else strange like that.

The extract from the log that has "/192.168.1.2:7082/user1" is what we parsed from the URL after "http://host/", so it is strange that this complete URL would be present here.

In fact, the complete URL normally is not even passed to the MMSC (although it is sometimes present due to misconfigurations, and we strip it off if it is present).

The more I look at it, the more I think that maybe the problem is that the URL is configured in the phone as "http://http://192.168.1.2:7082/user1". This could cause the behaviour you describe.

So I'd double-check the configuration settings in the phone.

If you're still lost, enable the MMSCDEBUG.LOG (checkbox on the "Serial #" page of the configuration dialog) ... and that will give us a hex dump of the incoming HTTP request. We can take a look at the incoming request and that might give a clue as to what it is malformed.
