Hello Bryce, I searched the discussion board for 'Unicode Flash' message and found that it should work, But it did not work with me. I have tried it from WEB admin as well The URL by setting the DCS value to 18, but same result. [ The message comes into inbox and does not get displayed to screen] Can you please advice me the right way to make it run. Thanks and Regards, | |||

Hi Gambia, I seem to recall that there is an SMPP-specific problem that relates to Unicode flash messages. The DCS value of 0x18 is what needs to be specified for the actual message over the air. However, SMPP data_coding values do not match up with GSM DCS values directly. And there is no way to specify the values that would correspond to Unicode flash in an SMPP submission. So it is possible with a GSM modem, or other SMSC protocols, just not with SMPP.
