In short ... it may or may not work.

You cannot connect to your operator MMSC via SMPP. You can only connect to your operator SMSC via SMPP.

To connect to your operator MMSC, you need to use an MMS protocol such as MM7 or EAIF. (Or you can use MM1 over a GPRS modem.)

It is possible to send MMS using SMPP only, if your mobile operator allows MMS message delivery from external MMSCs.

For more information about how MMS works, please see http://www.nowsms.com/howmmsworks.htm.

If you want a quick test to see if your mobile operator allows external MMSC delivery, try this:

1.) First verify that you can send a simple SMS text message via the NowSMS web interface.

2.) Next verify that you can send a simple WAP Push message via the NowSMS web interface. (Use the default type "Service Indication", put in any URL, such as "http://support.nowsms.com/discus" for "WAP URL", and a short text in the "Text" field.)

3.) Use the "Send MMS Notification" option in the NowSMS web interface. Specify a recipient phone number, put another phone number in the "From" field (this will appear as the sender) ... and for the "MMS URL" enter "http://www.nowsms.com/download/btmms.mms". This will attempt to send an old MMS message that is stored on our web server.

If the recipient receives the test MMS ok, then your mobile operator allows MMS message delivery from external MMSCs, and you can configure NowSMS as an MMSC for direct MMS delivery.

If the recipient does not receive the test MMS ok (or receives a message but cannot open it), then your mobile operator does not support MMS delivery from external MMSCs. In this case, you either need to use an alternative to MMS (like WAP push), or you need to connect to the operator MMSC using one of the MMS related protocols.

For more information, again I'd suggest http://www.nowsms.com/howmmsworks.htm for an overview of how MMS works.

Thanks Bryce. Sorry again. I must configure NOWSMS as only MMSC and the mobile operator MMSC wants to connect to my MMSC of NOWSMS. Please help me to configure the settings of NOWSMS.
They wants to connect via HTTP port.
Thanks.
