Good Afternon,

1. We have notice that the problem that we comment you the last month is still running.

We have made some test and we have realized that:

- When we send messages with parameter "TrackSmppreceipts" activated, the throughput speed falls radically.

Please if the reason because the throughput speed falls is this parameter, we need an alternative.

We need to have the delivery information of all the messages but we can not sacrifice the troughput speed in return.

We need a solution, because when we bought the license for this platform we didn’t know it and is for us is very important.

2. We have updated with the patch the NOWSMS version, but to us it continues happening the same. The patch is http://www.nowsms.com/download/patch2007.zip

We have proven to store 3000 messages in the tail so that they leave directly, but happens the same.

Second sends in all the seconds but only 5 messages/seg.

The license that we have is of 50 messages/second.

The license during how long lasts?

3. In the eyelash of Serial we have the following line: "Software Upgrade Agreement is EXPIRED" What means?

Hi Raul,

You are correct that when "TrackSMPPReceipts" is active, the message sending speed falls dramatically. ("TrackSMPPReceipts" is active by default in NowSMS 2006 and later versions.)

In out other discussion, I described a new parameter that offered some performance increase when processing messages with delivery receipts requested. However, even with that new setting, the performance when delivery receipts are being tracked is a fraction of the performance when delivery receipts are not requested or tracked.

This is an area that we have been focusing a considerable amount of development attention on.

I'm happy to report that we have just released a test version that should finally resolve this performance issue for good.

HOWEVER, it is a problem that you see "Software Upgrade Agreement is EXPIRED". Let me explain ... when you purchase NowSMS, we include free updates for a year. After a year, you need to purchase an upgrade agreement to continue to have access to updates and enhancements.

If you see "Software Upgrade Agreement is EXPIRED" right now, then it is likely that the update that I've just referenced above will refuse to install. Go ahead and download it to try, it will not cause a problem, it will just not install the update if this is the case.

Because I am interested in real world feedback to prove that we have resolved this performance problem, I would be happy to extend your upgrade agreement by a year to allow the updated version to be installed. To do this, I need you to send an e-mail message to "nowsms@now.co.uk" with "Attention: Bryce" in the subject line of the message. In the text of your message, please include your company name, serial #, and installation reference code, so that I can validate the information.
