Let's focus on WAP Push first, as there are many reasons why you might not be able to send an MMS (for MMS specifically, please see http://www.nowsms.com/howmmsworks.htm). One problem could be if you are using a Motorola phone as your GSM/GPRS modem. The GSM modem interface in most Motorola phones has a bug that prevents it from being able to send out any SMS messages that include UDH (user data header), which includes WAP Push and just about every other type of binary SMS messaging. So, when you send a WAP Push message, let's see if the modem actually accepts the message. Check the SMSOUT-yyyymmdd.LOG file, and see if it is reporting "OK" when sending the message, or if an error is being reported. If an ERROR is being reported, then I'd like to see an SMSDEBUG.LOG. However, if it is a Motorola phone that you are using as a GSM/GPRS modem, then there is no solution other than using a different modem. (You could still send MMS, but not WAP Push, by routing the MMS messages through the operator MMSC using MM1 over GPRS as detailed in the "How MMS Works" link above.) -bn |
