We want to bulk MMS to the users and we want to know the NowSMS performance for this.
So What is the maximum throughput for sending MMS (MMS per sec) using MM7 protocol
If we assume:
- size of the MMS 200 kb
- We have unlimited MM7 accounts from the GSM operator.
- We have 100 Mbps bandwidth
- We have this server XEON 5130 (2.0 GHz, 65 Watt, 1333 FSB) . 2GB RAM, 1 Dual Core Processor 2.0 GHz
- We are using 50 recipients per one MMS

Thank you

I'm sorry, but I don't have any statistics that match your configuration details. There are simply too many variables ... size ... bandwidth ... # concurrent connections ... # recipients per message ... that we have not found an effective way to provide this type of feedback.

One piece of advice that I can give you is that you will achieve best performance if you submit the MMS messages to NowSMS in batched groups of recipients instead of a single large list of recipients ... and for "Max Connections" under the MM7 "MMSC Routing" definition, use a value higher than 1 (10? 20? 50?).

The reason I say this is because when you submit an MMS message to multiple recipients, NowSMS creates one queue entry for that message. If you have "Max Connections" > 1, then NowSMS will process multiple queue entries simultaneously. But if you have a single queue entry with a large number of recipients, NowSMS will only use 1 of the available connections to process that queue entry.

By default, over an MM7 connection, if a message is addressed to more than 100 recipients, NowSMS will submit 100 recipients at a time. (This value can be changed by setting MaxRecips=### under the [VASP] header of VASPOUT\accountname\VASP.INI.)

So my best advice is to try a test run with the trial version. I believe that is limited to 30 messages per minute. However, in this case, the licensing counts 1 message to MaxRecips (100) as a single message. So you can expect higher throughput in that case.

If you need a temporary trial license for a higher license count, contact Lisa or Keith at nowwireless.com.
