I want to use NowSMS as the MMSC for kannel. However I am having trouble setting nowsms up for using kannel over http. I was wondering if someone can assist me with creating an accurate configuration. This is really deterring me from buying this product. | |||

Hi Steven, I'm sorry, but I don't understand your question. Are you trying to interface with Kannel as an HTTP SMSC? I've never used it myself, but based upon its documentation, I would see the following URL templates: text: /cgi-bin/sendsms? username=@@UserName@@&password=@@Password@@&to=@@PhoneNumber@@&text=@@Text@@ binary: /cgi-bin/sendsms? username=@@UserName@@&password=@@Password@@&to=@@PhoneNumber@@&udh=@@UDHBin@@&te xt=@@DataBin@@ At least that is my best guess ... the Kannel documentation is not very clear regarding URL parameters for submitting binary messages. It seems to imply that if the UDH parameter is set, then binary encoding is assumed, so hopefully that will work. I do have in my notes also that you need to check "Remove '+' from Recipient phone number" for Kannel. -bn | |||

I want NowSMS to send msg though kannel yes. Discouraging that this is not a common implementation. | |||

It gets sent corrupt to kannel. | |||
