We have a VPN connection with mobile operator.
I received from administrator of operator mmsc
URL adress(ip address), login, password. I've configured mms routing (Vaspout)
I want to test sending mms to the mmmsc of mobile operator.
And can u say me what should i set connection type
-default
-to vasp or to mmsc(I'm testing with "to MMSC").
Please help me who has worked with huawi MMSC

Hi,

I assume that this is an MM7 connection.

"To MMSC" should generally be used for this type of connection.

Based on our past experience with customers connecting to Huawei MMSCs, what we have observed is that they make use of some of the optional parameters that are not as frequently used by other MMSCs.

In particular, the "Service Code" setting is very important. Your provider will probably provide you with "VASP ID", "VAS ID" and "Service Code" values that must be used by your account. And those values have to match ones that have been provisioned by the operator for use by your account.

The "login name" and "password" fields are normally not used, as they authenticate based upon IP address and the "VASP ID"/"VAS ID"/"Service Code" fields.

I'm not sure if the "3GPP MMS Version" and "MM7 Schema" values are important ... but I have seen from a log from another customer that they were using version "6.3.0" and "REL-6-MM7-1-0". (If you have problems, ask your provider what settings they recommend here.)

Another thing I noticed is that the MM7 URL for another customer posting to a Huawei MMSC was http://host:port/vas ... sometimes providers forget to tell you the path that you are supposed to use in the URL, and just give you an IP address and port. I can't guarantee that all Huawei MMSCs use "/vas" in the URL, as it might be installation dependent ...

Hope that helps.
