Hi,

I just want my MM7 routing account receives MMS from a specified phone number so i have created a MM7 routing account and set the value in "Route message to this account for recipient phone number(s)" is the phone number i want. But my MM7 account not only receives message sent to this specified phone number but also any phone number.
Could anyone tell me why ?

Thanks

Khanh

Hi Khanh,

I need more specific details about your configuration.

I assume that you have defined an account under "MMSC Routing". And I further assume that this route is not defined as the "Default Route".

So why would unexpected MMS messages be routed to that account??? hmm...

I'm going to assume that you do not have an "MMSRoutingURL" definition in MMSC.INI which is used for a dynamic routing callback. (Unlikely, but I mention this just in case you were experimenting with this setting and forgot about it.)

The other thing that can cause unexpected routing is that if you have a "Default Sender Address" defined for the routing, then NowSMS will route any messages with a sender that matches that address to the route. (Unless you need to deal with web submissions that leave the sender blank, best to leave the "Default Sender Address" field blank, and check "Allow Sender Address Override".)
