Hello, we have big problem with WAP multimedia message. There is an empty text in WML push. Even if we use template file. Text is OK in MMS file, but in WML no. There are only <br/> insted of text. Here is output file: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <!DOCTYPE wml PUBLIC "-//WAPFORUM//DTD WML 1.1//EN" "http://www.wapforum.org/DTD/wml_1.1.xml"> <wml> <card title="Test"> <p> <b>From:</b> NowSMS <br/> <b>Subject:</b> Predmet <br/> <br/> <br/> </p> </card> </wml> This is an example made from your web interface. Current version NowSMS 2006 is 2007-03-15 patch. With old patch 3006-10-30 NowSMS works good and text is in WML too. Maybe there is a bug in newer version. Thanks for your help. Petr | |||

Hi Petr, Hmm ... that is a very big problem. This happens even if you submit a Multimedia WAP Push message from the NowSMS web interface? I send these type of messages all the time. So there must be some configuration issue that triggers this bug. If possible, can you try the version at http://www.nowsms.com/download/nowsms2007.zip ? Do you have an MMSCOMPParameters= setting in SMSGW.INI by some chance? (I recall some recent problem related to that setting, but I can't recall the details.) -bn | |||

Hi Bryce, as I wrote this happens even if I submit a Multimedia WAP Push from NowSMS interface. On NowSMS 2006 with 2007-03-15 patch. With old patch 3006-10-30 works fine without changing configuration. I have this MMSCOMPParameters= setting in SMSGW.INI: MMSCOMPParameters=-cUTF-8 I can't try latest version because my Maintenance Expiration Date was 20070323 ... so latest version which I can use is 2007-03-15 patch. Hi Petr, Indeed, the problem is specific to that parameter. I had a vague recollection of it, and assumed that the problem was fixed. However, it has not yet been fixed. Send an e-mail to nowsms@now.co.uk with a subject line of "Attention: Bryce". Include your details including serial number and installation reference code ... and reminder about this problem. I'll generate a date extension for you in appreciation of your letting us know about this problem. Hopefully we can get an update out next week. -bn | |||
