Hi I am kinda new to MMS, and not sure exactly how it works, if I wanted to setup a website to send MMS through the HTTP-SMS connection from Clickatell, how could that be done? I understand that MMS contains much more info than SMS, then how could it be sent to mobiles by a SMS? apart from a MMS notification with push-wap technology.

That is the only way that you can send an MMS through an SMS service like Clickatell, by sending an MMS notification (which is encapsulated in a WAP push message sent over SMS).

In order for a phone to be able to receive this message, the configuration settings on the mobile phone have to allow access to external MMSCs. (In the UK, Vodafone and O2 settings allow this type of MMS delivery, T-Mobile and Orange settings do not.)

Here are links that explain how MMS works:

When MMS settings do not allow delivery from external MMSCs (referred to as "direct delivery" in the above links), the only option is to transmit the messages through an operator MMSC. At this time, unless your operator offers such connectivity, this often must be done over GPRS.
