Hi,

I am Using sony erricson W810i and W700i for testing.Incorporated all the settings to mobile like GRPS, Mobile Office settings and MMS Settings. I have also enabled my PC as public Ip.

Actually, I am sending the Smil file, text & image as attachment from my application. But whenever i try to download it says data corrupted & i can't download the MMS.

Please find the log for further information. Please let me know if any other settings need to be done.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi Arvind,

For some background information on How MMS Works, which might be helpful in this case, see http://www.nowsms.com/howmmsworks.htm.

I suspect that one of the following is true:

1.) The MMS settings for your mobile operator do not allow MMS delivery from external MMSCs. (The "How MMS Works" link talks about this in considerably more detail ... but the bottom line is that the main alternative is to configure NowSMS to send MMS messages via the operator MMSC over the GPRS modem. For more information on how to do this, please see http://www.nowsms.com/documentation/ProductDocumentation/mms_notifications_and_c ontent/Connecting_to_operator_MMSC.htm)

2.) Your PC is not really on a public IP ... or the "Local Host Name or IP Address" setting configured in the MMSC does not route back to the PC running NowSMS.

An easy way to test #2 is to put a simple text file in the MMSCDATA subdirectory of NowSMS, and name it TEST.TXT.

Verify locally that you can retrieve this file by connecting to http://127.0.0.1:mmscPort/test.txt ... and your text file should be displayed.

Then, from a location outside of your network (and maybe the browser on your mobile phone), try connecting to http://mmscLocalHostNameOrIPAddress:mmscPort/test.txt ... and see if the text file is retrieved.

Note: mmscPort = "HTTP Port Number" configured on the "MMSC" page of the NowSMS configuration.

mmscLocalHostNameOrIPAddress = "Local Host Name or IP Address" configured on the "MMSC" page of the NowSMS configuration.
