We have recently installed (and purchased) the license for a Now SMS gateway installation. Our application sends out binary SMS to a CDMA SMSC (ZTE). The actual delivery of these SMS works just fine, but the problem occurs in the delivery receipts sent back for these binary SMS. Here is a sample we received about an hour ago : 2007-07-11 16:05:00,+622130272439,Text,iHi£¥ùÅ-hT9#ùøΔsjÇS¥ùLΣ H13'ÅΘæ0¿D£2.æ1mRQÂ¥B,Σ:et¡9Â¥fMΣ1bX£sùò2oÖΩ¥B,Σ:et¡9Â¥fMΣ1bXï ¿½ �� �sùH9tBQS¥ùøΣ0¿¡_¥¤Θ9rt¡£¥ùò*epQS#@ò@é@Λ@@@øòΣ@Σ#Â¥id)1ï ¿½ �� �,4000 In contrast, we can receive the delivery receipts from the same SMSC for 7-bit text messages. Here is a sample we received few minutes ago : 2007-07-11 18:15:56,622130547028,Text,id:4694B362 sub:001 dlvrd:001 submit date:0707111817 done date:0707111818 stat:0000002 err:000 Text:test1816,4000,SMSCReceiptMsgId=4694B362 We are using version v2006.10.30. Hi, Yes, we've seen this. The problem was introduced in the 2006.10.13 version, and fixed in 2007.03.09. If your activation code allows it (and it should if it was a very recent purchase of NowSMS), I would suggest updating to 2007.06.27 which is the current download version. Recent versions have greatly improved the performance of SMPP receipt tracking, so you may see some benefit other than just this fix.
