Hi Bryce, I've configured the settings below in my smsgw.ini, but NowSMS does not remove the logfiles older than 7 days. It doesn't remove anything => LogDirectory=C:\Program Files\NowSMS\logs LogRetainDays=7 | |||

Hi Maikel, This sounds familar. The log files were not automatically getting purged if the "LogDirectory=" setting was redirecting them to a location other than the default. I can confirm that this problem has been fixed, I just don't know when it was fixed. I tried a 2006 release, and the log files were not automatically purged. I updated to 2007.06.27 and they were. -bn | |||

Hi Bryce, Thanks for the update. Do you know how we also can configure a LogRetainDays functionality for all the logs that NowSMS creates in the USERS and SMPPdata directories? Are there any other locations where NowSMS creates logs without deleting them? Regards, Mike | |||

Hi Mike, SMPPData is always automatically cleaned up. The number of days for which that data is retained is independent of the LogRetainDays setting (and it has varied by version...currently it is set to 15 days). USERS log files are deleted based upon the LogRetainDays setting. -bn | |||
