Hello All,

I am facing problem while testing MMS functionality with Samsung HTC mobile.
On sending the message to HTC mobile the different behaviour getting is:
a) Samsung HTC mobile on receiving MMS notification prompting message on mobile as "Message to be downloaded is expired". But still mobile is retrieving the MMS message successfully.
b) Nokia HTC mobile not able to retrieve the message.
Anyone can plz help me out and answer me the PAP message support by HTC mobile.
Also in case anyone have infomation to interact with HTC technical staff for the same.

Thanks in advance to all.

Hi,

Are you sending MMS messages via the NowSMS MMSC?

How are you sending them? Mobile to mobile? Via the web interface?

I need more detail on exactly what you are doing in order to assist.

Thanks for the reply.

Actually we have our own MMSC server application developed. We are doing Mobile to Mobile MMS Message functionality test with HTC mobiles.
As part of sending notification to destination mobile, we are submitting MMS notification to Dest mobile along with the PAP message to network SMSC.
When the dest mobile receiving the notification prompting the message as i have mentioned above.

We are packing all the Mandatory parameters in notification message as per OMA MMS Encapsulation specification.
I suspect that, Expiry Time is one of the mandatory parameter in notification message, but we are packing it as next 24-48 hours still mobile prompting as Expired Message.

Kindly suggest me in order to find out what exactly notification message decoding on mobile is giving such behaviour on HTC mobiles.

Hope my reply can give some level of information, in case still if im not clear kindly let me know.

Thanks

What's the byte code for your encoding of this expiry value?

Post an example notification, and I'll take a quick look to see if anything looks unusual.
