Hi, Thanks for reading my post  I am using a V2007 NowSMS, and when I try to send out EMS Ringtone and Picture Message, but the attachment restrict is very strict. Could anybody share me some working files or restriction document? Thanks a lot~~Nice day~~ Ning | |||

Hi Ning, For images, EMS images needs to be relatively small in size. And the pixel width of the image needs to be a multiple of 8 (example: 8, 16, 24, 32, 40, etc.). Also, keep in mind that EMS basically uses monochrome images, so if you feed a colour image into NowSMS, it will convert it to monochrome. For ring tones, the native EMS format is iMelody. NowSMS can do some limited conversions from RTTTL (native format for Nokia Smart Messaging) and MIDI into iMelody. If you search the forum here using a keyword of iMelody, you're likely to come up with some examples. I found one at the following link: http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/1/2292.html (Some of the older links explain the actual raw message encoding of the EMS message because older versions of NowSMS did not have any support for EMS encoding.) P.S. - When you use the search facility on this discussion board to find EMS related information, change the "Match Method" setting to "Whole Words Only". If you don't do that, then words like "systems" will be considered a match for EMS as a partial word match. | |||
