Hi, Something is going wrong with our NowMMS installation. All MMS messages received by our system are missing their sender address. Even though different people are sending in the messages, NowMMS reports that all of the messages are coming from a sender address of "1". Help!!! | |||

Hi Gustav, Are you using a GSM modem on Orange UK for receiving MMS messages? Something appears to have gone wrong on their MMSC recently, and all of their MMS notifications are going out as being from an MMS sender "1". A system administrator must have had a configuration screen open and entered "1" into a field without realising it. NowSMS has a quirk in that if an MMS Sender address is present in both the "MMS Notification" message and the actual MMS message content, NowSMS will use the sender from the "MMS Notification". We made a change in NowSMS to give preference to the sender address in the header of the actual MMS message content. This change is reflected in the release candidate version of NowSMS 2009 which can be downloaded from http://www.nowsms.com/download/nowsms2009rc.zip. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||
