One of our SMPP providers, requires to set the intermediate notification bit, in order to receive buffered notifications. As far as I go through the documentation, NowSMS doesn't give the possibility to do so. I found in the threads some option to modify the delivery receipt for failure -> (Delivery receipt requested (for failure) (0x02) unfortunatelly I am looking for another bit -> intermediate notification requested (0x01) According to the specs the purpose of it is to report the outcome of the first delivery attempt that has failed but the message is still held in the SMSC for further delivery attempts. Please advice if we have an option to set this bit in NowSMS. | |||

Hi Vladi, We do not have a setting that enables this bit. But I've gone over this with our engineers and they are going to add an INI setting that will enable this bit to be set automatically whenever a delivery receipt is requested. There are a couple of other updates pending, but I should have an update available in a day or two. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||

Hi Vladi, This came back sooner than expected, so I'm going to go ahead and post it. http://www.nowsms.com/download/nowsms2009rc.zip Under the [SMPP - server:port] header, add IntermediateNotification=Yes When that flag is set, the intermediate notification bit will be set whenever a delivery receipt is requested. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||
