Hi,

I am trying to send/receive MMS with an operator in Hong Kong (Sunday). I am using a Benten GRPS modem but when I try to set the GPRS connection in "MMS Outbound Routing" I get the message "Connection Failed", but I believe my settings are correct. I am unable to send/receive MMS as well. I have attached the LOG files and would appreciate it if you can tell me what's wrong.

Hi Stephanie,

Try connecting to your modem with Hyperterminal (Programs/Accessories/Communications/Hyperterminal).

Connect to the COM port of the modem.

Type ATZ, and verify that you are getting an OK response back.

Next, issue the following command:

AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","smms"

Does this command return OK or ERROR?

If it returns OK, then I might have an update that will work for you. We have been working with someone else in Hong Kong who might be having similar problems to you with a particular modem ... I'm curious, what brand GPRS modem are you using?

If the command returns ERROR, then we'll have to do some more guessing, and I would still be curious what brand of GPRS modem is being used.

Hi Stephanie,

Go ahead and download the v5.50 beta.

http://www.nowsms.com/download/nowsms550.exe

It should have the modified behaviour that I was thinking of.

If it doesn't work, I'd like to see another mmswapdebug.log.
