I'm using Windows standard modem to connect to a Wavecom Modem. Speed setting is at 57600. After setting up everything I tested the SMSC is working fine. Hi Christine, I would suggest using the 33600 bps driver instead of 56000. It won't limit your speed ... the problem is that the 56000 drivers tend to send extra AT commands for modem compression techniques that are specific to land-line modems. The 692 error means a hardware failure on the port or modem. I have seen this happen before with the 56000 driver, because the modem does not understand these land-line specific AT commands. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||
