Hello, Does anybody has a description of these fields: MMS Processed (User) MMS Processed (VASP) MMS Sent (MMSC) MMS Sent (VASP) MMS Sent (SMTP) MMS Retrieved (User) I ask because my MMS Processed (User) counter is high in relation to MMS Sent and MMS Retrieved. The Gateway processes Email to MMS and I'd like to know also if these are counted in the MMS Processed (User) counter. Thanks in advance, Alex

Hi Alex, There are so many different configurations that I'm not sure that many of these statistics make sense. Let me take the easy ones first: MMS Sent (MMSC) - MMS Messages sent by the MMSC using "direct delivery" MMS Sent (VASP) - MMS Messages sent out via "MMSC Routing" definition (MM7, MM4, MM1, EAIF). MMS Sent (SMTP) - MMS Messages sent out via SMTP (when MMSC is used as direct delivery MMSC). MMS Retrieved (User) - MMS messages retrieved by local user accounts (when MMSC is used as direct delivery MMSC). MMS Processed (User) - MMS Messages submitted by local user accounts. MMS Processed (VASP) - MMS Messages submitted other than by local user accounts (MMSC VASP + SMTP). -- Des NowSMS Support

Hi Lee, If you are receiving MMS messages using a GSM modem (as indicated in other message threads that you have posted on), then it is not necessary to define an "MMSC VASP" account. It is only necessary to define an "MMSC VASP" account for receiving messages from an MMSC if you are using the EAIF, MM4 or MM7 protocols. -- Des NowSMS Support |
