I m from India... While receiving a multimedia message m getting a http link like http://mms.now.co.uk:8080/20100412/09/0A01D8C1.WML?id=%2b919994779441 when i open this link its coming as service not available and m not able to see the get the picture which was sent.... Plz tell the reason 4 this and also how to overcome this prob.... kindly help me.... | |||

I assume that the host name in DNS of your NowSMS server is not mms.now.co.uk. (If it is, you've managed to hijack one of the domain names that we own.  ) When you send a multimedia message with NowSMS, the only way that NowSMS can deliver the content (other than via the operator MMSC) is to store the content on the NowSMS server ... build a dynamic URL pointing to that content ... and send an http link for this URL to the recipient. (This is similar to how MMS works, but MMS makes the process more transparent. See http://www.nowsms.com/howmmsworks.htm for more background issue.) If your NowSMS server is not publicly accessible over the internet, then this dynamic URL will not be accessible. The public host name or public IP address of your NowSMS server must be configured in the "Host Name" field of the NowSMS MMSC configuration in order for NowSMS to be able to produce an accessible URL. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||
