Hello,
I tried to send basic MMS messages using NowMMS and a Siemens MC35 modem.
I only have one phone to test the message reception but, whatever MMS I send to it using the Web interface, the received content on the phone is unreadable, consisting only in ramdom character strings.
Does this problem have a rational explanation?
Thanks by advance for any help.
Pierre

Hi Pierre,

Try a WAP Push message (they are simpler to debug) ... just send a push to any URL, such as http://wap.oa.yahoo.com.

If you are using NowSMS v5.50, try updating to v5.50d, which you can download at the following link:

http://www.nowsms.com/download/nowsms550d.zip

If you are running v5.50d, or a version prior to v5.50, then edit SMSGW.INI, and under the [SMSGW] section header, add the statement: BinaryDCS=4

(Basically, most versions of NowSMS default to using BinaryDCS=F5. However, in v5.50, we changed the default to BinaryDCS=4 which works better with American operators ... but that setting does not work so well with some other operators.)
