We are using the NOWSMS to send MMS announcement message periodically to our customer. The NOWSMS is connected to a GSM modem. It works fine at the beginning, but it fail after running for a few hours. From the debug.log, the following message was observed: [OpenDevice: Unable to initialize modem: Error 80000018 from lineGetID]. It seems that power off and on again is the only way to solve the problem. Is there any suggestion that the problem can be avoided?

If this is a PCMCIA modem, you may want to check to see if there is a firmware update. (It sounds like the modem is going into an unresponsive state, and there is no way for us to simulate a power off.)
