Hi Bryce,

I am still facing a lot of problem in receiving MMS. In one of your previous mails, you had suggested that I define a GSM/GPRS connection under the MMSC Routing tab and choose that connection to be the default route.

I tried defining the settings for Singtel and Starhub(2 operators in Singapore)... the test connection is ok, but I notice that the MMS is not received in the MMS-IN directory (I selected the option to receive MMS in the MMS-IN directory).

After I do this, I have not been able to send MMS from the web interface.Though I get a "Message Submitted" response, I notice that the MMS message is in the VASPQ directory.
application/octet-streamVASPQ_Configuration file
A9AEEA51.INI (0.2 k)
application/octet-streamVASPQ_MMS file
A9AEEA51.MMS (0.1 k)

I have attached the files found in the VASPQ directory and also the MMSCDebug file. Please have a look and let me know why I am not able to send and receive MMS?

application/octet-streamMMSWAPDEBUG.log
MMSWAPDEBUG.log (164.9 k)
application/octet-streamMMSCDEBUG.log
MMSCDEBUG.log (42.3 k)

1.) There are two "Login Name"/"Password" configuration settings in the "MMSC Routing" definition. The first is used to pass a username/password to an MMSC, and the second is for authenticating to the GPRS APN. The first is rarely used or supported, so it is best to leave it blank. (Some operators ignore it, others return "403" errors, others accept the message and silently discard it.)

2.) (I see you have already done this, but I offer this advice for others with similar issues.) Make sure that the default sender address is blank, and "Allow sender address override" is NOT checked.

Hi, Bryce,
I did as what you said. I could only receive the MMS from the gateway, but I could not do it the other way round. There are noting appear in the MMS-IN dir, though I set 'Receive to MMS-IN directory' :-(
Why? Why? Why?
Thank you for the help. Any more advice???

But you are sending MMS ok through the operator MMSC, correct?

This thread seems to be about sending MMS through the operator MMSC.

But over in another thread:

http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/485/5259.html

I see that you are not receiving any notifications from your operator when an MMS is sent to your modem. (Just an SMS with no data.)

So let's concentrate on that thread, unless you have more issues with regard to sending an MMS through an operator MMSC.

Lucia,

I'm sorry, but is your question for support of the Now SMS/MMS Gateway product? Or is it a general phone cnofiguration correctly?

If it is a Now SMS/MMS Gateway question, then I need more details. Please refer to http://www.nowsms.com/howmmsworks.htm for some basics, and then tell me more about how your are attempting to configure NowSMS.

If this is a general question about MMS capabilities on your mobile phone, then you will need to contact your mobile operator to learn how to provision your phone for their MMS service offering.
