I'm attaching the spec sheet for this modem. Does anyone know if it will work with NowSMS?

I don't have any experience with this device ... and don't recall anyone else ever asking about it.

However, based upon the spec sheet, I would expect it to work. The spec sheet doesn't go into a lot of detail, but when it says "GSM SMS: Text, PDU, MO/MT" ... then I interpret this as meaning that it supports the standard AT commands for sending and receiving SMS messages in both text and PDU mode.

Thanks Bryce. This device is pretty new and I did some research on my own after I posted the spec sheet. I especially like this modem since it is quadband and would be easy to deploy in various GSM frequencies. Attached is an email from Enfora rep, I hope other NowSMS users find this helpful.

xxxxx,

you asked:

We are developing an M2M solution that is based on certain standards. Could
you please clarify if the Enfora Spider SA-GL supports:

The PDU mode AT commands defined in the ETSI GSM 07.05 specification to
send/receive SMS messages and GPRS related AT commands defined in ETSI GSM
07.07 (specifically, AT+CGDCONT and ATD*99#) for MMS functionality.

The spec sheet did not mention anything specific.

In a word, yes. These standards are listed on www.3gpp.org , and we support
these as well as some new standards that superceded 7.05 & 7.07.

If you are U.S. based, it is also worth noting that we have been testing a GSM/GPRS modem from Mulitech which seems to work quite well with NowSMS.
