Hi Bryce

We have two routes defined on our Now box - one is the standard Direct Delivery (Internal MMSC) route using HTTP to our messaging gateway and the other is via a GPRS modem using MM1.

Individually each of these methods work, however when we set up outbound routing msisdn's for the modem (e.g. +44*), delivery to +44* numbers are fine, but msisdn's which shouldn't be routed through the modem (e.g. +1*) don't get delivered using the direct route. The message for a non-UK msisdn appears in the MMS outbound log but the notification does not get sent by Now through the HTTP interface to our messaging gateway, and so is not retrieved by the phone.

We also added an additional Direct Delivery route as the default to see if this solves the problem, as shown in the following extract from the MMSC.ini file, but this has made no difference:

DefaultOutboundRoute=Direct Delivery
[Outbound MMS Routing]
Orange (UK) SIM=+44*
Direct Delivery=*

If we remove the +44* route setting from the entry's parameters then everything is delivered through the Direct Delivery route.

Is there some other configuration required to achieve our goal?

Cheers

Matt

Hi Matt,

Do you have a route named "Direct Delivery"?

What if you remove that and set the default outbound route to "Direct Delivery (internal MMSC)" which is the built-in entry.

I'm going to run some tests on it, but I'm wondering if there is some issue with the similar name to the built-in entry.

I'm trying the same type of setup here, and I'm not seeing a problem.

Maybe there is a problem with the "MMSC Routing" named "Direct Delivery"? Does it have "Direct Delivery" checked?

When you have the "Direct Delivery" entry enabled, does NowSMS put a message into the VASPQ subdirectory?
