Hello,

I downloaded today NowSMS and tried to send OMA OTA settings to Nokia 6230,
I specified UserPin,
Unfortunately I got "Failed to save received connection settings"
That's kind of weird, since It shouldn't try to save settings unless it is a network Pin.
Is there any bug in this ???

Thanks for your support,

Regards,

Elie

I've been able to send settings successfully to a nokia 6600, 6620 and a panasonic X700.

try sending the same setting
1) With no pin specified
2) as an XML file

and see what happens

I'm not aware of any issues with the 6230 (except that it does seem to require a PIN be specified).

That error message could be occurring if the device does not like something about the settings.

What are the exact settings that you are trying to send out? (Or if you don't want to publish your settings publicly, can you modify them to be bogus, and verify that the bogus settings still produce the same error?)

I remember one situation where someone had cut & paste settings from a Nokia technical document. The only problem was that MS Word had been used to create the Nokia technical document, and the standard quote (") character had been replaced by alternative quote characters (“ ”) which are not valid in a settings document. So that is one potential error to watch out for, but other than that, let's see your settings.
