Hi! i'm a newbie in NowSms, and my company would want to buy it if I configure for retrieve MMS and store MMS (specific: the jpeg in the MMS) in a directory. I use a nokia 6230 via bluetooth. The store of sms in the SMS-IN directory works but when i try to send a MMS to the phone the MMS disappear from the phone but it doesn't go anywhere. Anyone can help me with the settings that i must use? Excuse me for the bad english...i'm italian | |||

Hi Davide, Unfortunately that is a limitation of using a mobile phone as the GSM modem. The MMS client in the mobile phone always grabs the MMS notification so that it does not get routed over the GSM modem interface. The only solution to this is to use a dedicated GSM modem device instead of using a phone as the GSM modem. By dedicated GSM modem device, I'm talking about external devices like the Siemens MC35 Terminal and Sierra Wireless Aircard 750 PC Card. (Avoid the Nokia D211/D311 as they do not support receiving SMS or MMS over the GSM modem interface ... other GSM modem devices are more flexible.) -bn | |||
