I am Having problems with receiving mms notifications with the ZOOM 4597 Modem. Do you have any tests or special configuration for this modem?

Hi Luis,

Are you receiving other SMS messages? (Normal text messages?)

Have you tried moving the SIM from the modem to a phone to confirm that MMS messages can be sent to the SIM?

bryce,

Yes I have used the sim card for sending/receiving MMS with phone, also with another modem (ZTE626) and works fine. There is no Problem with normal SMS messages or sending MMS, the only problem is not being able to receive MMS messages. I tried changing the SMS message storage config and doesnt work with any of them (default, sim card, device memory, etc)

Thanks

Luis,

If the modem can handle receiving normal text SMS ok, it might just have a problem with binary SMS.

I asked about this because we have noticed that NowSMS does not receive any SMS with some modems unless OldPollingLogic=Yes is set under the [SMSGW] header in SMSGW.INI. But this applies to all SMS, not selectively to binary SMS. It may be worth trying, but I'm not overly optimistic.

Aside from a firmware update for the modem, there probably isn't anything that can be done.

Right.

I should have been more clear.

Try adding OldPollingLogic=Yes under the [SMSGW] header in SMSGW.INI

There is low probability that this will make a difference, but it is worth trying.
