Hello, I have set up 5 3g gsm modems for sending bulk mms through nowsms gateway. I have created 5 vasp accounts and five mmsc routes. Every vasp is forced delivery over specific mmsc route. When using one of the five vasp accounts to deliver mms over MM4 smtp interface, mms are delivered ok through selected mmsc route. When nowsms hits my routing callback script, i answer with all five modems, but messages go out from the specific modem that vasp is forced to. SO far so good. What i really wanted to do is have one vasp account that can send over any mmsc route that i specify in routing callback. I could not do that? Is there a way this could be achieved? Also, when installing the modems i found out that some modems of same make and model are not able to be installed on windows. After first modem is installed, then the rest are not being recognized. DO you know any specific make and model of 3g modem, that will work on a windows 2003 server and would allow to install multiple devices? Thank you very much in advance Regards Dinos | |||

Hi Dinos, If you don't force the route for that particular VASP, it should allow any route specified in the routing callback. If it does not, probably the easiest way for me to understand is to see an MMSCDEBUG.LOG showing the message being processed. You can either post it in reply here, or e-mail to nowsms@nowsms.com with Attention: Des on the subject line. Regarding multiple modems, I've done a little scanning through the messages here looking for log files referencing multiple modems. I've seen logs using more than one Option ICON 322, Option ICON 225, iTegno (specific model not known) and Multitech GPRS modems. Unfortunately, I have little direct experience, as we usually just buy one of any that we test with. So when I setup a machine with multiple modems, I'm pulling from different models. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||

Hello Des and thank you for your reply. Could you please explain what do you mean by not forcing the route. In Vasp Accounts, i have to choose what to do with received messages. My option are: Standard MMS delivery Receive to mmsin directory Force via defined route that i have choosen Forward to email address Route to local user Which one should i use. Could you please clarify in force via defined route what direct delivery does? Also standard mms delivery, what does it do. I am a bit confused here. Thanks in advance Regards Dinos | |||

Hi Dinos, I think I understand the confusion now. Use "Standard MMS Delivery". This means normal processing behaviour. There is no default expectation of how the message will be routed. The routing callback will apply. "Direct Delivery" means to use the system as an MMSC, and deliver the message without routing to an external MMSC. Hello Des, and thank you for your reply, Now i really understood what was going wrong. I was using the routename of the modem from smsgw.ini. I did not realize that i had to use the mmsc routing name. When i changed this it worked straight away. Now i am trying to buy some option gsm modems to try as well Thank you very much for great support Regards Dinos | |||
