Can any one help with the below questions? Appreciate your help

Wanted to check what options are available for routing received mms messages. Do we need to use the MMSC VASP dialog for this or the 2-way dialog?

Is there a possibility of routing incoming MM4 messages as MM1 messages to a URL?

Also I do not see Route Via MM7 option in my VASP dialog though the product documentation shows that. Is that feature not supported anymore?

Thanks

Hi,

2-way is primarily applicable to messages received via a modem. It also applies for messages received from an MMSC VASP account that is set to "Receive to MMS-IN Directory". It only supports HTTP multipart/form-data POST.

The MMSC VASP dialog settings are specific to messages that come in from that account. "Force via Defined Route" redirects the received message to an outbound route defined under MMSC Routing. (A few of the specialised route types are not available ... such as SMS with web link.)

Yes ... "Force via Defined Route" pointing to an MM1 route will do this.

"Force via Defined Route" used to only support MM7 type routes, but it has since been enhanced to support more route types.

Thanks Des for the prompt response. Force via defined route pointing to MM1 route is exactly what I need. I will try that out.
