When routing to MM4 (and snooping on the network interface), I see a SMTP message. In the content of the message, I see the following headers:

X-Mms-3GPP-MMS-Version: 5.3.0
X-Mms-Message-Type: MM4_forward.REQ
X-Mms-Transaction-ID: 20030912/10/0CDD8595@10.120.43.43
X-Mms-Message-ID: 20030912/10/0CDD8595@10.120.43.43
Message-ID: 20030912/10/0CDD8595@10.120.43.43
From: 0652610056/TYPE=PLMN
To: 0628808765
X-Mms-Delivery-Report: No

My probem is that the To: field does not have "/TYPE=PLMN" extension, so it is not recognized on the other side of the MM4, with the other MMSC.

Any help?

thanks,

Ivan

Ivan,

You're correct, there should be a /TYPE=PLMN extension in there that is not getting inserted.

It gets inserted into delivery reports via MM4, but not normal messages.

We're planning to get another beta build together in the next few days, but in the meantime, there is an update to MMSC.EXE available for download at http://www.nowsms.com/download/mmscbeta.zip.

Bryce,

thanks for the info. this is now corrected, but there is another problem.
NowSMS MMSC does not send the Date: header on MM4, which is mandatory according to the 3GPP spec
(Table 20: Information elements in the MM4_forward.REQ). The other MMSC I am testing against complains, of course...

Could you correct this issue?

Thanks,

Ivan

Ivan,

You're correct, there is no "Date:" header.

We're in the process of building a new release, so I will add this to the list. Hopefully it will be built and uploaded by the morning.

I'll post a note in the forum when the updated file is available.
