1) Hi, need some help, seems like the wav to amr conversion is not working as expected. Tried on a few phone, here is the one tested on Samsung E700A. Samsung E700a does not support WAV but AMR. NOWSMS convert to AMR but it sends back to user the WAV file instead of the AMR file. A bug?

Shouldnt be the last line sending should send the test.amr instead of the original test.wav?

2) Is the WAV2AMR conversion. Tested on the converted AMR file compare to the original WAV sound quality, the amr converted sound quality is really bad, any way to 'adjust' the conversion so that the final output quality is close to WAV quality?

3) Can NOWSMS convert AMR2WAV too if original content is in AMR format?

Many Thanks.

1.) It looks like you're using multimedia WAP Push, right?

It is sending the AMR content, despite what the log file says.

2.) No. If you need more control, you might want to look at the following product: http://www.businesms.com/products_mva.html

3.) If the UAProf indicates that the device does not support AMR, it will send WAV.

Hi bryce,
1) Yes we are using wap push. It is not sending the amr file because we test it using the amr supported phone only. It failed to download content in wav format, saying file format not supported. Also on the temp dir where it put the contents, it also locate the wav file there. Clue?

2) Thanks

3) So we can use either amr or wav format, nowsms will convert either way?

Many Thanks!

I think it is sending the amr file but it's file extension is wav because it didn't change. Try to rename the file from *.wav to *.amr
