We ported two numbers over from one provider to another.

Both on huawei sticks

First numbers works fine but second number wont read any MMS messages.

I checked by changing the NowSMS modem to use default gateway, connected it and tried access the file form the .q file and it read it fine.

Any ideas what it could be.

The only error i get is "failed to connect to WAP gateway but im not sure that is the problem since the other stick sees the same message during test but still works.

What operator and settings?

Is the gateway/proxy an IP address or host name? (We've gotten better at using a host name, but 2015 definitely required an IP to work properly.)

If I understand this correctly, you were able to access the message content without a proxy. Proxy-less configurations are definitely a problem with the 2015 version.

Have you considered Android devices? Especially with multiple devices, the MMS handing is much more efficient.

Sounds like the issue is the proxy

Unable to connect to WAP gateway at http://web.wireless.bell.ca:80

Maybe if we can get 2018 working properly this will solve the problem.

I have the android setup in my back pocket, i have not had time to look at a rig to make it work.

But these sticks have been working since 2015 almost flawlessly (aside from some enumeration issues with windows)

You called it,

Replacing the WAP gateway with an ip address fixed the problem it seems.

So production is "fixed" ill shift my focus to getting the upgrade working now :)
