I do now...although had a lot of trouble working it out...ended up phoning tmobile and asking them. It is a bit long winded!! Go to: Menu, Messages, Message Settings, Text Messages, Default profile, Delivery reports and then select YES! Good Luck  } | |||

I got it as Menu, Messages, message settings, text messages, sending profile, default profile, delivery reports. Thanks for the inital clues - I wouldn't have been able to find it otherwise! | |||

Hi, Anyone know how do do it on an orange phone? Neither of the hints above seems to work. Only mms messages seem to have a delivery option. How many versions of this damned phone are there? | |||

I also had this problem with an Orange phone. The sequence is as described by Nonymouse, above, but I didn't have the delivery reports option in my default profile. I spoke to Orange, and it turned out that when I'd received the SIM updates after registering the phone I'd deleted the SIM update messages, but I hadn't turned the phone off and removed the battery - apparently you need to do this to get the updates working. I therefore turned off the phone, removed the battery for a few seconds, switched it back on and Hey Presto! I've now got delivery reports :-) | |||

Sorry to revive an old topic, but thanks to you folks I can now receive delivery reports. Thanks! However, I do have one more question, how can I get the phone to play the normal sound when it receives the delivery report. All I hear now is a faint beep, thats all. No vibration, no standard sound at all. I checked the profiles and when I receive a ´normal´ SMS I do hear the standard sound with vibration, but nothing for receiving a delivery report. Any inputs? Thanks Nonymouse: Even though I did it before , I could not turn the reports off ! drove me mad trying to get to it.... why do they bury it!!!! Is there any way that you get the delivery report on the screen but they dont turn up in the list with the other texts?????? | |||

Hi I have found out how to get delivery report with the V3. When you have finsihed writing your message you enter the number and it will then show you the message and who too and subject and below subject it says receipt if you go down to receipt press change and you can either say yes or no if you press yes you will get the delivery report. you do have to change this each time you send a message as it doesnt seem to default to yes. Hope this makes sense | |||

Hi I have a motorola V3, I had the option for receipt on delivery on SMS but now it's vanished. I spoke to Orange they sent me a sim update, but they receipts are still missing, can anyone help? | |||

my v3 was on orange when i bought it, i had it unlocked so i can use it with my vodafone contract card. anyway, i don't get delivery reports. i may contact vodafone to send me SMS and MMS settings, but i may get my phone debranded (it still has orange branding on menus, etc). it might just be the orange settings? | |||

i found a guy who debrands mobiles, but he's in London and I'm in Edinburgh!  You can post it to him and he posts it back the next day debranded. Is it worth it? I do really want to get delivery reports | |||

anyone who wants a delivery report on any phone...simply write 'rct' at the begining of every text. You will recive a report - the recipient will not see the 'rct' in the text so dont worry about that.......hope this helps. Laterz all x | |||
