I have a direct SMPP connection to a wireless providers SMSC with both a send and receive aim. I also have 10 network short codes (addresses) assigned by them which I can address SMS messages with. For discussion sake, they are the numbers 1000 to 1009. I have set up NowSMS as 1000 and enabled Allow Sender Address Override. I also have SMPP applications which I am binding to NowSMS. I have an Alert application which I've assigned the address 1001. If I send a message from the Alert application through the NowSMS gateway, it is delivered with the sender number of 1000 with the text "from 1001" appended to the message. If I reply to that message, it replies to 1000 which is the gateway, not the application.

How do I get the applications address to be the senders address instead of the gateways address?

Thx
Bruce

Hi Bruce,

As I mentioned in e-mail, I think I'd like to see a log file on this. It sounds like you are doing everything correctly.

As we discussed in e-mail, it appears that the "from 1001" text is being generated by your application, so there is something else going on here. Hopefully a debug log will provide the missing clues.
