We have a direct SMPP/IP connection to a wireless operators SMSC. They require that the connection be permanent and that the Send and Recieve AIM binds stay up. They are indicating that our connection is constantly going up and down. From our perspective, things seem to be working fine with NowSMS. However, we don't really know how the SMPP bind is working in the background. Can you confirm if the application maintains state or connects/reconnects binds.

thx

Hi Bruce,

I've followed up with you directly on this. We currently send an enquire link approximately every 60 seconds in the SMPP environment, to make sure to keep the connection alive.

We may need to make this setting configurable, but let's see what we find from analyzing the log files first.
