Hi Knut,

I don't know anything about the service provider that you are connecting to.

However, they are returning a text error response indicating that the "from field" is missing from the submission.

If you submit a message from our web interface, generally there is not a from field unless you include one in the submission.

But there are also some controls in NowSMS so that a default from/sender address can be applied before the message is routed to the service provider. Or, if required, a specific from/sender address can be applied to every message, ignoring the "from" field on the message submission.

My advice is to go into the "MMSC Routing" definition that you setup for this connection. Specify a value for the "Default Sender Address" (a telephone number or short code number, or an e-mail address ... I don't know which your provider will accept, so if unsure, try them all).

If "Allow Sender Address Override" is checked, the "Default Sender Address" will only be used in situations where there is no sender address in the message. If it is NOT checked, then the "Default Sender Address" will be used on all MMS messages routed through this provider.

After flsshing my motorola v300 to a v600 I find I'm unable to send MMS. I browse just fine and am able to send SMS. I keep getting "Unable to send". My carrier is digicel, Jamaica, a GSM company.

Your phone needs to be configured with the appropriate MMS settings for your mobile operator.

The settings are different for every operator ... and the process of configuring the settings into the phone is different for every phone.

Consult your mobile operator (or search the web) for relevant MMS settings for your operator.

Consult your user manual for your mobile phone (or download a manual for the manufacturer's web site) for instructions on how to configure MMS settings for your mobile phone.

I'm sorry that I can't offer any further guidance, but you have posted your message in the support forum for the Now SMS/MMS Gateway product, and I have to give priority in replying to support questions related to our product.
